I've been doing a ton of research on requirements for notarial acts when conducting a signing. I take my job very seriously. I found out that many notaries near me do not know the basics of a notarial act or what certificates are. I have also been trying to find a notary that will mentor me with questions I cannot find the answer to. I see many videos from a few notaries on YouTube that encourage new notaries to reach out to their local community of notaries for help. I have had no such luck. Any one I talk to either doesn't understand what their job really is or doesn't want to talk to me. So I have decided to become a mentor to anyone who is struggling like me. I have had a couple calls from clients that didn't work out and part of that is because I didn't have the proper knowledge that I do now. I'm learning that most people don't understand the severity of what a Notary Public actually do let alone have ever heard of a notary. So every week I am going to post a video on YouTube and social media of my journey as a Notary Public. Anyone who finds me is more than welcome to reach out to me with any questions and we can work together to help our communities understand more effectively what we as notaries actually do and why we charge the prices we do. So please join me every Friday for helpful advice and learn from my experience and mistakes that I have made. My number one piece of advice is READ your state handbook. 9 times out of 10 the answers you need are in your handbook. However, I do understand that the wording used can be difficult to understand. I look forward to this journey with all of you and pray we can help each other and learn form each other.

Fear is a lie from the enemy. Telling we can't do things. Then if we try to do something new and not getting the results we were hoping for we become tempted to quit. I struggle with this battle daily. It can be personal goals or professional goals, it can be both. I just started a new business a few months ago and I'm struggling to gain clients. I know part of the problem is a lot of times people don't understand the weight a notary carries and why we charge what we do. Some notaries, myself included, became a notary to help their community and financially support their families. I hope everyone can understand why I can't do this for free. I will have free promos but this is a business to support my family.

I have always wanted to own my own business so I could best serve my community and take care of my family, I just never knew how. I started out as an AVON representative and failed to grow my business successfully. The more I learned about the company the more I realized it wasn't for me. I come from a background of independent entrepreneurs and leaders in business. I first heard about notaries back in 2016 but I didn't know what exactly that meant. I was getting married and needed a notary. Needless to say that marriage didn't work out but the experience opened the door of a possible new career later in life. Fast forward almost 10 years the opportunity had risen again. I am now a commissioned notary in the state of Missouri and I'm so excited for this new journey. I have a new fiancé, a beautiful baby girl and a community I'm eager to serve.
