We are back

So Bethlehem Notary is back in business. We just had our second baby and we are in the process of buying a house. My only goal growing up was to be a mom then I got married and in Washington state marriage requires a notary. Then years later I bought a car and I needed a notary again. Then I found out my step mom was a notary, in the middle of my divorce, but I was discouraged from taking that road because my family is very competitive. If someone in the family was doing something to earn extra money you better find something else to pursue. After my divorce my world shifted and I needed a notary again to refinance my car.

I finally decided to do some digging into what a Notary Public really was. I bought a book on Amazon, a guide for becoming a notary and my mind was made up. I wanted to pursue this career. It's a serious job but I knew I wanted to help people and make a difference in their lives. I am almost two years into my business and I have helped a dozen people in difficult times and make big financial purchases to move forward in their lives. I took the next step and became NNA certified for loan-signings. My husband has been so supportive of my journey and he has even helped with booking clients through his job. Most of all I would not be where I am without God helping me. This is not my business but God has well. I dont make any business decisions without praying about it first then discussing things with my husband.

Now that we have two beautiful daughters it has become a bit more difficult to make house calls during business hours, so I am shifting my business plan to accommodate clients and my new mom schedule. I now offer services online for GNW. This means I can handle quick notarizations that do not require the purchase of real estate or auto purchases online. I still have a few things to cover before I can sign up for signing platforms and handle large documents of that sort. I also have extended work hours. I am available evenings and weekends to help those who can't get to a notary at a place of business from 9-5. I will accommodate mobile services when possible but for now anything outside of Advance is not possible.

Hello everyone,

Happy Easter weekend, I just wanted to tell you that Jesus loves you and wants a relationship with you. We are all sinners because of the decision Adam and Eve made in the garden when they ate the forbidden fruit. But because God had a plan to send his only son to die for our sins on the cross on good Friday. Jesus sacrificed his life for us so he is worthy of our worship.

Yesterday afternoon I received a call from a new client who lives close to me. She needed a 1 page document notarized but was limited on resources and mobility. Normally for this type of mobile signing I would charge a travel fee plus my time and the stamp. No printing charge because she already had the document. However, she could not afford my quoted price. Normally I would not do this but with prayer and Easter coming up I felt the Lord tell me to only charge for the stamp and explain that God told me to. God gave everything for us and he wants us to help anyone who needs it if we are given the ability. She was able to come to me as well and I did end up giving her a 95% discount, in light of Easter, to gain more experience and to help.

As a result of this whole experience I gained a new client and new resources myself. Thank you Lord for this opportunity and for your love.

So this happened yesterday. You never know where you are going to find your next job. A friend of mine posted in a Facebook page needing printing service help. Turned out to be a quick job, but it was my first time with this type of work. I was able to complete the task in 30 minutes and helped a friend out. I think I just found a service I can add to my notary business.
